And what else is new... pretty much nothing. I can't think I am so determined to make it to NYC. I talked it over with my big bro this morning and what he says makes sense, but I just can't pluck up the courage to make the necessary emails and phone calls. But tomorrow is a new day, so maybe I'll just take forty assignments so that I can get out of getting what you all call a "real job."

Comedy Still Rules
I have been listening to and watching so many comedy programs that I am convinced if I had a little more motivation and little more witty timing that I could turn into a comic. No, not really. I haven't the talent at all. And jeez... would you look at that last sentence?? I blame John Oliver, Andy Zaltzman, and The Bugle podcast for the sudden British-izing of my sentences. So thanks guys. Thanks.

Why I Write and The Origins of Twins
First of all, here is a new essay that I have just written: Why I Write. Check it out. (I have also added in under the "Nonfiction" category on the sidebar).
And second... here's a funny video clip from John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman about democracy, and where the Bush twins came from.

Daily Show Repeats My Laughter
I had such a great time watching The Daily Show last night that I just finished re-watching the 8pm rerun and it was well worth it. John Oliver's piece on the alcohol ban in the London underground was hilarious.
And I love David Sedaris, so it was great to see the interview with him. I'll be honest. I totally know I have read a couple of his stories and loved them, but for the life of me I cannot remember which ones! But his new book title is super amazing!
