Vote for Your Favorite Recipe

The Great American Seafood cook off is well on its way at www.GreatAmericanSeafoodCookOff.com. There are so many yummy-looking recipes that are up for grabs, but I think that the best looking recipe is the one by Chef Mark Holly from Texas: the Texas Gulf Shrimp. This is the one that I voted for, and this is the recipe that I think I’ll make sometime soon, just to try it. Now, I know that I couldn’t get the plate to look as pretty as the one pictured on the website, but I do know that it will (hopefully) taste just as good as it sounds. It think this recipe is best mostly because I prefer shrimp over any other seafood, but I am sure that I would give the other recipes a taste-test too.

I also love the fact that this contest is promoting the use of domestic seafood. This is a really important issue, and I think that domestic seafood should be used more often. It is fresh, local, and tastes just as good as any other seafood that you can get around the world. So what are you waiting for? Go to the website and vote for your favorite recipe. Once you enter your vote, you will have a chance to win a prize package that includes a trip to New Orleans! I entered my vote, and hopefully I’ll be lucky enough to get that trip. If you don’t enter, you can’t win (my mother always told me that).
