Supporting Walgreens

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

Healthcare is a major issue in everyone's life. When you need to have prescriptions available on a regular basis, your neighborhood pharmacy becomes a very important place. Through the past year, Walgreens and Express Scripts have been negotiating a new contract. Walgreens wants to stay on their pharmacy provider network to continue to serve their customers. But negotiations were not successful and Walgreens is no longer included in the pharmacy provider network. Pharmacies across the country are affected by this decision and patients using the Express Scripts program are not happy. Many not only have to change their pharmacy, but may also have to travel longer distances to fill their prescriptions. Nothing is being done to ease the pain of this hassle for any of the patients.

This situation has also effected America's military. A specific client of Express Scripts is Tricare, which is the program used for military men and women across the country. Although Walgreens offered a guarantee to match or beat costs for Tricare customers, but Walgreens' offers were rejected.

If you are affected by this situation or are upset for the patients who are affected, you are encouraged to voice your dissatisfaction by contacting local media outlets. Walgreens is committed to its customers and is offering a special discount on annual memberships to its Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens.

You can also support Walgreens in their efforts by staying up to date. Like Walgreens on Facebook of follow Walgreens on Twitter.
