Running in Place

This is only a quick update. The computer is still not functional at the moment, I'm spending all of my time trying to get out of the apartment instead of looking for a new job, I can't think, let alone write. I'm pretty much a mess and I don't like it. People always tell me that things will get better tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure that this "tomorrow" they all speak of doesn't exist in reality.

Anyway, that's my little update/complaint. I'll keep living in my head, save the best ideas until a creative moment pops up or until I see a way out of this and back into a normal life. Check back with me in March... things may be different then.

Since reading your blog - and some others, I've been checking out some of the wrting jobs out there to see if there are things I might get in to. I saw this one on Careerbuilder and was wondering if these are the types of jobs you do...

Just curious. I've learned a lot about publishing and marketing writing skills from these blogs. It's been very interesting.

Oh, and good luck!

Yep, that looks like what my longer-term jobs entail on a daily basis. Usually I take jobs that are on contract like that one. Contract is good and bad--it usually gives you the flexibility to telecommute and work independently, but of course the down side is no benefits and the job can become obsolete at any time and many times without explanation. But, I still enjoy the thrill of it all. :)
