Rain, Rain It's Okay...

April showers have been abundant this year. It's kind of weird when the dark clouds roll in and make it seem like it's almost evening in the middle of the day. It's a great atmosphere for writing though, even if all of the rain can be a bit inconvenient.

I took the weekend off from Camp NaNoWriMo. I didn't necessarily need a break from writing because my mind is still fully focused on the plot, even when I'm away from the computer. In fact, I'm less than 5k away from meeting my goal! I mostly took the weekend off to work on that all-important Next Step, whatever that may be. I explored more marketing avenues for Unfolding Life and worked on the early stages of my marketing plan for the trilogy. I don't want to be caught off guard with the next project, so the earlier I get started, the smoother the transition from unpublished manuscript to published novel will go.

I am still looking for more Amazon reviews for Unfolding Life, so if you want a free PDF of it to review, just let me know by dropping me a line through the contact form on the bottom of the sidebar. The more reviews I get, the more advertising options I will have with the discounted/free ebook newsletters.

So what are you working on this week?

Great Saturday

Happy Saturday to all my readers!!

The weather is warm, the breeze smells like spring and I have finally managed to get some more of my massive CD collection into iTunes. Today it's been a really oldies but goodies day with Sinatra, Desi Arnaz, and Cab Calloway. I even wrote 2 articles already. Now I only need 8 more done by the weekend to be on target, and maybe not have to work next weekend? That would be a refreshing change of pace.

And to make this day even better, I think I'll read my current book for awhile and then wash a big pile of dishes. I'm babysitting tonight, so the place needs a little cleaning before hand.

Friday

not only is it Friday, but it's finally warm here. I get to leave my patio door open and let all the fresh air in. I'm getting a little lazy about work this morning, but that's just because I know that I have all night to work on it. Why? Because I'm a loser who never has plans on a Friday night. But that's really besides the point.

I had to lower my article goal this month to make sure that I meet it. But in order to make up for the amazing amount of money I could have been making with those extras I didn't commit to, I'm working even harder on some individual articles, book reviews, and all of that good stuff. I'll post the new work here when I get around to finishing it. And you know if there's any free time left I'll be all over those manuscripts I have lying around the house. Actually, I think I'll start working on those after lunch.

Spring, I hope

While we were getting significant snow on Monday, now the robins are out and about, still puffed up with their warm, rusty feathers. I even saw a male cardinal land on my patio yesterday. Does this mean spring is fast approaching? I hope so. Even if it snows again, as long as the temperature doesn't dip below 30 again, I think I'll be happy.

Work is super-slow. I know the frustrations of technical difficulties, but the promise of new articles has long since passed. I did write two this morning, but there are no more left. Hopefully some new ones will be available by my afternoon writing hours. Otherwise I'll b in front of this keyboard absolutely all weekend to catch up.

Only 1

Yep, that's how many degrees it is outside. And my pipes in the furnace closet area clanking, which scares me a little. It always does that after I run hot water for awhile, but I just woke up, so I hope its a result of something that won't explode or leak anywhere.

My E key is really sticking today, which it not good. But I can deal. I only have two edits today, and it looks like new articles won't be started until at least the afternoon.

So what can I do during my morning work hours? Mmmm. Not much. Maybe I'll watch AC 360 on iTunes. The new one just downloaded. Anyway, I should get those edits out of the way first.

It's Hot

I went outside to take out my stinky trash today, and I started sweating just walking the ten feet to the dumpster. Warm weather is nice, but hot weather is really just unnecessary. I hope that my electric bill won't be too high... I think I run my air conditioning too much at night. oh well. I least I don't wake up sweating.
